The book was interesting, well written and very easy to read. My husband and I are Associate Pastors at City South Church. I have three backslidden grown children. I have been in the ministry for 28 years. The story was realistic it was to me more about Naomi. She was bitter because she had turned her back on God. Sometimes when we backslide or go in the wrong direction God does not make it easy to go back "home”. He does help us struggle back so we can feel His grace and be strong. The book gave a good picture of that. It would have been easy for them to give up. Though she was far from God there was that core of hidden faith. Ruth saw that in her. In my life I know of that strength from that core of faith. I have stood in movable when everything is confused and in turmoil but not always in victory. I see God’s goodness and mercy in this book. I pray that this book will give people hope and renew faith in a merciful powerful miracle-working Savior. Thanks for the book. I have passed it on.

Paralleling the biblical tale of Naomi and her faithful daughter-in-law Ruth, this book's message and spiritual journey are realistic and heartwarming. 4 Stars

The Road Home is vividly written and full of powerful emotions. As you read it, the story of Ruth will span the centuries and touch your heart. The best Christian Fiction I have read in a long time!

"The Road Home" combines adventure, a beautiful friendship between two women who were once inlaws, humor, and a heartwarming love story all in one. "The Road Home" is a winding one with twists and turns along the way. This is excellent reading for all people who enjoy a story which combines adventure, a beautiful friendship between two women who were once inlaws, humor, and a heartwarming love story all in one. The twosome never gives up hope that God is directing their paths. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."

Take "The Road Home", it is one trip that will not be soon forgotten!

“This is their best work yet. Tommy Tenney and Mark Andrew Olsen have crafted the journey of Ruth and Naomi with a beautiful contemporary freshness. I lived the story of Ruth and enjoyed seeing her life invigorated with emotion. THE ROAD HOME captures Naomi’s loss and creates a modern visual picture of the deep spiritual bond between two extraordinary women.”

“The story of the Amish and Mennonites was extremely accurate…very factual…looking forward to the movie! Details at the beginning were very accurate. Impressed with the accuracy of the details. Very anxious to read the finished product and see the movie!”

“Thanks for a wonderful book. It was so refreshing to read about real things with out the filth attached. Their were so many times that each woman in the story represented feelings that I have had and many other women. We all have struggles in our own way to be close to God. Thanks for reaffirming the need that we all have and providing the reassurance that is possible to reconnect and try again.”
