Dear Tommy,
Being a business owner and very busy I seldom find time to read a Novel. My reading usually consists of the Bible and books that help me grow spiritually. Because of the impact of Tommy Tenney's ministry on my life and that of my family and having read all of Tommy Tenney's books I thought I would give reading Tommy's new Novel "Hadassah" a try. To my delight I was captivated. I was actually taken, in my mind, to the days of Esther. I actually felt the pain of the Jews, the pain of Esther being taken from those she loved. I saw the Palace, what Esther wore on her first night with "The King". At times I found myself in tears. I love how Tommy was able to pull me right into that time period. Loving my Lord as I do I could see the love He has for his people and wanting them set free, in reading "Hadassah" my time was well spent, I was able to relate to this novel on the spiritual side and learn to stay focused on "The King" and not on the enemies (issue of the life) that may be surrounding me. My sense of the Book "Esther" is much deeper now. I thank the Lord for giving Tommy Tenney the gift to captivate me and my family with all that the Lord gives him.

Dear Mr. Tenney, Thank you for writing Hadassah, One Night with the King. I can’t begin to tell you the impact that this book has had on my life. God really spoke to me through this book and my life has changed drastically! I haven’t felt God’s presence since I was a teen. I was very rebellious for a while then after the birth of my daughter changed things around, but was still very much a skeptic. However, during the past year I have gotten serious about my faith and my husband, daughter and I have become members of an amazing church. I have been trying to understand and seek God, yet something was missing. My aunt ‘accidentally’ left your book at my house after a visit. I was curious so I picked it up and started reading and I simply couldn’t put it down because it had such a powerful hold on my whole person. I have been drawn into books before, but not like this! I truly believe God used your book in my life to finally reach me. Before, reading the Bible and praying were like chores and now all I want to do is read my Bible, pray and praise God! I have finally started experiencing God in all his love, glory and power and I can’t express into words how thankful I am that you wrote Hadassah, One Night with the King. I can only hope that many more will be blessed by this book in such a way as I have been. I am also excited about the movie coming out and pray every day that the book and movie will reach others in the same way the book reached me. By the way, when is the movie to be released? The behind the scenes and trailer look truly amazing and God’s presence and anointing are evident! Once more, thank you for writing the book. It truly was a blessing to me! Grace & Peace,

Hadassah One Night With The King is an exhilarating ancient romance with ribbons of suspense, mystery, and intrigue cleverly woven through. After a brief introduction to our contemporary Hadassah, we are thrust back to ancient Persia, where being a Jew could get you killed, and the quest of the day was to plunder rape and destroy.
Our modern day Hadassah begins a journey of discovery through a letter written hundreds of years earlier, by another Hadassah, one she would call Aunt, but also in this book she is called Esther, Star, and Queen.
For those familiar with Esther, the book in the bible telling the story of the beautiful Jew who would become Queen, you will delight as the recounting develops flesh and bone. Although the cruelty and savage times demand horrific events - the authors handle these scenes with tact and expertise. Sexual tension and race wars are rampant, as we know it must have been. But, we love the young Hadassah as soon as we meet her. We never stop cheering for the young girl to over come, carry on, and finally fulfill God's destiny.
Along the way we feast on rich servings of history - from settings: the towns, palaces, homes, countries, to people: the concubines, Mordeci, Esther, Jesse, the slaves, to the events: wars, kidnaps, murder, deceit, dark deeds, rapes - we do not rest on this winding twisting road until the completely satisfying ending.
Who knew history could be so wonderful?
These authors show keen spiritual insight and teach us of God's providence, His care for those He loves is never far - even though we may feel trapped with no way out, God cares. Esther knew this truth and in her obedience to the religious laws of her people, she comes to know God intimately. It is in this relationship she finds freedom to be Queen, a woman who would be pivotal in helping the Jewish people.
I highly recommend Hadassah, One Night with the King, for anyone who is interested in one of the most intriguing women in the Bible. Everyone will like her story and will love her as real when seen through the obvious careful and complete research done by these new authors. I hope we see more from this team - perhaps a book about Judge Deborah, or Priscilla? I can only wish.
