Hey Rose, just noticed this particular post. This happens to be one of my favorite subjects, and so I had to watch Jack vanImpe's clip on youtube. I'm assuming this is what you meant. For many moons now, it has been assumed by many that you can some how come up with an EXACT time, or even a close approximation of the 2nd coming, and/or the rapture. I used to do this. I was a Hal Lindsey student, so to speak. He used to be the main authority, but after a few inaccuracies, I got away from the prediction idea altogether. I do have a few views, which I probably mentioned before. The first is that the rapture is "mid trib". For those who think it's "post" or "pre" trib, the following scriptures will be meaningless, REV 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; REV 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. REV 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, REV 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. REV 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? REV 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. REV 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. In my opinion, this has to be the rapture. If you want to try to disprove this, please do some basic homework first. On the Jack vanImpe youtube, I noticed that he assumed the date of Dec 25 2012, then manipulated some data to try to make it fit. This is an unfortunate typical logic flow, which most likely started with Usher way back when. His assumptions have led many astray. There was another character who decided to count 911 chapters, after the 911 incident, and then spend a huge amount of time trying to make something of the 911th chapter in the Old Testament. It was an unimpressive effort, but he still let everyone know of his great discovery, which was NOTHING. On the subject of 12-21-12, (not 12-25), I think there is significance. One very weird point of this comes from Terence McKenna's translation of the ancient Chinese manuscript called the "I CHING". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Ching The single most interesting thing is that this manuscript interpretation ALSO points to the end of a huge cycle as 12-21-12. These indentical dates have come from 2 totally separate sources, which is enough to make the subject very worthy of study. I don't spend much time in these things myself, because God is doing a whole lot with me, thus my life is pretty well occupied already. Dave

Shalom, 12/21/12 is the winter soltice for that year. About 300-400 years before Y'SHUA was born the Mayan indians created their calendar (actually three calendar) and they all come to an end at the same time which happens to be 12/21/12. Scientist have recognized this and believe that the earth will do what they call a "hickcup" at that same time. It is basically a realignment of itself. They do not know how much of a realignment it will do. If it is a small one then it will simply reset the earth and things like "Global Warming" will all but be forgotten. On the other hand if the earth has malaligned itself to any great extent then we could see catastrophic changes. Things like sunamis, mountains desolving and new ones rather instantly being created, blah, blah, blah. These would essentially create a new earth for them with new polar caps and what not. Remember "Y2K", this may prove to be the same thing but it may also prove to be the end of the world that Y'SHUA called for. What we know for sure is that this is not the Rapture because no one knows when YHVH will send The MESSIAH. We cannot even backtrack and say that it will happen this long before this event. YHVH does not live in time. Time was created for mankind to have order or form upon the earth that they might be able to keep track of things. We may be here and see the beginning or the signs of the end and some may be left here to see the results but no body when the final trump will sound but YHVH. YHVH told us this through Y'SHUA so that we might simply be prepared. If we are and if daily we lay down our self and take up our cross to follow in the footsteps of Y'SHUA then we will be taken to receive our inheritance, which is our salvation. Eph 1:14. Who is a down payment of our inheritance, salvation, for a redemption of the purchased possession, in praise of His glory. Those who give their lives to YHVH through the sacrifice that Y'SHUA made will not have to say "Oh me!" when it is revealed that Y'SHUA was not only The CHRIST (the one who has done all that Y'SHUA did) but that He is also The MESSIAH (the one who will complete what YHVH started in Y'SHUA). ******************** Shaking everything that can be shaken of "Traditional" (Mk 7:13) religion in order to establish you on The CORNERSTONE and foundation of our faith!
