I have never had such expectancy for a new year before this one. And I'm not talking about just hopes and wishful thinking, or the "make a resolution" thing. God has been birthing in me something far deeper and more permanent than that: what HIS resolutions are for me! 2008 will be a year of overcoming breakthrough, victories in long-held areas of defeat, and really coming into God's plans for us. That is, if - IF - we are willing to die to ourselves, decree and declare (Job 22:28) the true desires of our heart, and purpose to know HIM rather than insist on knowing what He's up to. He usually only leads us step-by-step, not by panoramic foresight. His will unfolds as we are content to bloom where we're planted, and continue pursuing Him. Any thoughts, fellow list-members? What are you believing for this year? And how are you laying a foundation - positioning yourselves - for those things to happen? In Pursuit, Cindy

Yes, I am expecting Great things. My motivation is the number 8 stands for "new beginning". So I have to take advantage of my opportunities to start things in a faith manner. There is some responsibility on our part; but it's a blessing because you are actually getting another chance to start fresh. Happy New Year

It seems that at every turn, from Oct 2007 on, I kept seeing or hearing about "gates" and "doors". And this being the year of New Beginnings, calculated by the numerical value of this year in the Jewish calendar. The Roman calender, ending in 8, carries the same meaning. God gave me a dream right at the end of 2007, of a garden - much like the one I often see in my deep times of prayer - but instead of being enclosed, it had a very wide archway w/ a wrought iron gate that was open just a bit. Curious, I went and slowly peeked around the left side. I discovered this garden was on a high rolling hill, surrounded by tall swaying grass,trees here and there. Beyond, was a landscape of rolling hills, w/ small towns and cities nestled in some of the valleys in the distance.I sensed the Lord telling me, "This is OPPORTUNITY - it goes far beyond what you can see - go for it!" Well, this year is already nearly half over - can you believe it?! So...how is this year working out for some of you?? My family, and many in my circles are seeing tangible evidence of this being a year of gates and open doors, w/ this Florida Healing Outpouring. Whatever opinions may be out there regarding this, it looks like a genuine move of God to many of us. People are being saved, delivered, healed, renewed and refreshed, entire churches set ablaze w/ the love of God!....the fruit doesn't lie! In Pursuit, Cindy
