Topic: Praise Report

August 18, 2007 is a crossroads for me. The lease is up, the money is gone, the car is in jeopardy, and so on. I held fast in my prayer and faith in the Lord and His promise never to leave me or abandon me.

I offer this testimony about how the Lord is working in my life. After meeting with the pastor of my church, I noticed a sign in the elevator of the building that I would soon be leaving saying that they needed a part time security person for the building. The next day, I spoke to the Condo President and was hired for the position. I then met with my church Care Ministry and was given several tasks to complete before our next meeting in two days. On the way home, I called the landlord and let him talk. He was having financial problems and suggested that I could stay on a month to month lease for half the rent we had been paying. It is against the condo rules to have a tenant for less than a 12 month period. Nonetheless, now that I was an employee, hired by the condo president, it seemed that the rules would have to be bended. He called the landlord, said it was OK and followed up with a fax. I then faxed the landlord a one page agreement which we signed and presto - being homeless was not an issue. More amazing, the next day a real estate agent appeared to take pictures of the unit, apparently not being informed of the happenings the day before. The agent said that the listing would be for $300/month more than the current rent for a yearly rental. Quite a savings. I've got a place to stay and a way to pay for it. I give God all the glory!

The Care Ministry helped me the next day with the credit card and part of the car payment and the phone began to ring with employers calling about positions that I hadn't even applied for. My brother saw the miracle that God worked in my life and told two of his friends that it was a "miracle" and that maybe my faith was what helped draw it in. He then saw that HE is working in his life. He is returning to a job interview arranged by his best friend at the company he works in. Also, some money from an abandoned bank account came and gave him the money to make the trip back up north more at ease.

With God, All things ARE possible.

  James,

I'm surprised to see no one has responded to this. What a testimony! God's blessings sometimes do just keep pouring out, don't they?  "Embarrassing" favor! Prayer always works, and God's promises always happen, if we do not lose heart.

Now you can - and I'm sure already have - minister to others who are in 'holding pattern' for their answers.

In Pursuit, Cindy

Dear Cindy:

Thank you for your kind words and our common belief that with God all things are possible and that prayer really does work. More prayers have been answered this week with my brother starting work today at a job he previously enjoyed and my final interview next week with a nationwide retail chain to be their store manager. My belief in God has never been stronger and I have been sharing words of encouragement with others about the Walk in faith that I have been on for several years. I have several sites to share my experiences. One is: http://jamesrourkeopeningspiritualdoors.blogspot.com/
