30 REASONS WHY MIRACLES HAPPEN

FFM TEACHING

Part 1 of 4

1. LOVE OF GOD

Matt 14:14

God's compassion means: sympathy, pity, tender mercies and feeling of affection.

The Benevolent heart of God is the number one reason why miracles happen. Everything in the kingdom works through love, Faith worketh by love. In the beginning when God made a covenant with man through Abraham. It was the love of God that initiated the covenant of blessing. God spoke to then Abram and now Abraham.

Gen 17:6-10

6. “I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. 7 “And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. 8. “Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” 9. And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.10, “This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised.”

What is a Covenant? A covenant, compact, contract, pledge, agreement. This can occur between individuals, kings and his people, God and his people, or marriage.

God's pledge to Abraham was to be his God and his descendants forever. Gods covenant with Abraham is the eternal foundation stone of Israel’s relationship with God and all other bible promises are based on this one. God wanted man to receive all his blessing, goodness and benefits of salvation so when he cut covenant with Abraham he passed through the first offering initiated through love the first blood sacrifice.

Gen 15:17

17, “and it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. God said I will fulfill both sides of the covenant.” God knew what was in man and did not want anything to hinder the blessing he wanted us to have.

Heb 6:13

When man and woman come into the sacred covenant of marriage both parties agree and vow together love and faithfulness in sickness and health and so on. When the man or woman has a relationship with another we are released from the marriage covenant in God's eyes. The same with any other covenant when one party fails to hold up to his end of the bargain legally we are released from the binding contract. God knew that if he didn't take it upon himself to initiate and fulfill the covenant man would break it in our sin nature. God so loved the world he gave!

2. GOD IS BOUND TO HIS WORD

Titus 1:2

2, “in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, He promised and so he will.”

1 Peter 2:24

24,” who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

3. GOD WILLS IT

The willingness of Jesus he wants to. We don't have to jump through all the healing hoops and beg.

Matthew 8:2-3

2,”And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3,”Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

Matthew 8:6-7

A Centurion unbeliever came 6, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”7,”And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

4. MASS EVANGELISM

The number one tool for soul winning.

John 6:2

2,”Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased.”

Matthew 4:24-25

24,”Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.” 25,”Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.”

Acts 4:15-16

15,”But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.”

5. DEMONSTRATION OF DEITY

When Jesus heals the cripple man lowered from the roof by his friends.

Mark 2:5-7

5,”When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”6,”And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7, “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

The response of the religious people and scribes of the day was only God can forgive sins. Jesus demonstrated through healing, I am God.

Mark 2:10-11

10, “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic,11, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

When Jesus did this miracle, the statement to the scribes was if you believe in the God of your father David, you believe that only God can forgive sin and heal. Jesus knew that the scribes believed the promise in Ps. 103:2.

When the miracle happened they would have to believe he could forgive sin because only God can heal and forgive, thus making him God. He turned water into wine to demonstrate his deity.

John 2:11

11, “This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.”

The works he did, demonstrates he is God.

John 14:11

11, “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.”

6. FULFILL THE PROPHETIC WORD

Isaiah 53:3-5

3,”He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4,” Surely He has borne our grief’s and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5,”But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Matthew 8:16-17

16,”When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,17, that it might

be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 1 “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

7. FAITH

James 5:15

15, ”And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

Mark 11:24

24, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

The Issue of Blood healing was by faith Matt 9:22

The two blind men were healed by faith Matt 9:27-29

Also The healing of the centurions paralyzed servant was faith Matt 8:13

The noble mans son was healed by faith John 4:50

The lepers were healed by faith Luke 17:19
8. HEALING ANOINTING

Habakkuk 3:4-5

4, ”His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, and there His power was hidden. 5,”Before Him went pestilence, and fever followed at His feet.”

The presence of Jesus drives sickness away.

Luke 5:17

17, “Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. We also see the healing anointing in:

Luke 6:19

19, ”And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all Jesus said the " Power of the Lord is present to heal" (atmosphere).” These healings were about how much of God was present or manifest in the room. They were healed because of the level of anointing not faith.

9. PROVE THE MINISTRY

Acts 2:22

22, “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested ( proven) by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, Elijah raises the dead and look at the woman’s response.

1 Kings 17:24

24, “Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the truth.”

10. TO KNOW HIM

John 6:26

26, ”Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.

Jesus' expectation was that they would want relationship with him.

11. HE IS RISEN

Jesus is alive and continues to prove the resurrection through this timely verse.

Hebrews 13:8

8, ”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Revelation 1:18

18, “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

Jesus demonstrates the resurrection through healing and delivering people from death, sickness and disease.

12. HEALING COMMISSION

John 14:12

12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

Mark 16:15-18

15, ” And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” 16, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” 17, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18, “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Matthew 10:1, 7-8

1, And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. 7 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and raise the dead, cast out demons. “

13. REPENTANCE

With every miracle comes a responsibility to change and healings can be a judgment against whole cities.

Matthew 11:21-23

21, “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22, “But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the Day of Judgment than for you. 23, “And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.”

God expects a change in our lives when he touches us.

Psalm 78:12

12, ” Marvelous things He did in the sight of their fathers, In the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.”

God divides the Red sea, leads them with a pillar of cloud by day and fire at night, gives them drink from the rock, manna from heaven, quail meat to eat, deliverance from Egypt and all these miraculous signs and still;

Psalm 78:17

17, ” But they sinned even more against Him By rebelling against the Most High in the wilderness.”

14. TO BELIEVE IN THE SUPERNATURAL

God does signs and wonders today so we will believe in his power to do the impossible. For example we have the story of Lazarus.

John 11:3-5

3, “Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom you love is sick.” 4,” When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” 5,”Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.”

God waits two days and seems to be late and Lazarus dies. The Lords response is:

John 11:15

15, “And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.”

He said I am glad, why? That YOU MIGHT BELIEVE! Again in the story of doubting Thomas.

John 20:30-31

30, ”And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31, “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”

15. GOODNESS

Matthew 7:11

11, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

16. GOD IS SOVEREIGN

Ecclesiastes 8:3

3 “Do not be hasty to go from his presence. Do not take your stand for an evil thing, for he does whatever pleases him.”

When God was filling people mouths with Gold crowns and teeth in our meetings and people asked why, I struggled with why do we always have to ask why? I knew it was God. Lives were being healed, saved and changed. God spoke to me and said I do what I want to. I remember a story by Bobby Connors at one of our meetings in Canada. Bobby asks God how he speaks. Bobby was doing a teaching on how to hear God’s voice. The Lord spoke back to Bobby and said " tell the people I speak anyway I want to.” I do believe that God has a purpose in what he does but I am ok with not always understanding why he does it one way and he seems to contradict what I know or expect. God knows how to do things out of the box.

17. CHARITABALE GIVING

Can our offerings and giving truly open heaven in receiving miracles?

Acts 9:36-37

36, At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. 37, But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room. After she died Peter raised her from the dead. I find it amazing that the bible records just before her miracle that this woman was full of charitable deeds!

God brings salvation to the entire house of Cornelius because of giving.

Acts 10:1-4

1, “there was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, 2, ”a devout man and one who feared God with his entire household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. 3,”About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” 4, “And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.”

God also promises divine healing and health for giving to the poor.

Ps 41: 1-4

1, “Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.” 2 “The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; you will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.” 3 “The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; you will sustain him on his sickbed.” 4 “I said, “Lord, be merciful to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against you.”

18. THE GOSPEL

Miracles happen because of the good news.

Romans 1:16

16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

Romans 15:19

19, “in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”

Paul the Apostle just made an amazing statement. He suggested that if we are not preaching the gospel in Mighty signs and wonders, we are not preaching the full gospel. In Mark 16:15 we are called to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel.”

Mark 16:19-20

19, “So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20, “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.”

19. FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD

John 15:15-16

15, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” 16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

God hears the prayers of His friends. Whatever you ask the Father in my name He will give you.

20. THE GLORY OF GOD

Matthew 15:31

31, “So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.”

John 9:3

3, Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.”

God does miracles in situations where He, and not man, will be glorified. I remember a story about a man who heard a crippled boy lost and crying out on the mountain. This man made sure no one was looking, and ran over and healed him before anyone could see it was him, and then left before anyone could attach his name to the miracle.

21. CURSE OF THE LAW

Galatians 3:13-14

13, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 “that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

God wants us to receive the blessing of Abraham. To be free from the curse is to be released of all diseases. Deut 28.

22. Desperation

Mark 5:27

27, “When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.”

To push her way through the crowd and risk the consequences of the law, being unclean with an issue of blood and arrested. This woman should be kept outside the camp.

Mark 10:46-48

46, “Now they came to Jericho. As He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, a son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47 “And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 “Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

He cried out all the more. We must press in beyond the fear of what others think and cry out.

Matthew 15:22-28

22, “And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” 23 “But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” 24 “But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26 “But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

It is time to let nothing get in the way of our healing.

23. TO DESTROY THE DEVILS WORK

Acts 10:38

38, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

How many did He heal and whom? Jesus only healed those oppressed of the devil. But healed every sickness and disease among the people. Could it be in God’s eyes all sickness and disease is a work of the devil?

1 John 3:8

8, “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”

24. NAME OF GOD

Exodus 15:26

26, and He said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

When God assigns a name in the bible, that name carries with it the person’s nature and destiny. God name is Jehovah Rapha in this verse!

Rapha: To cure, heal, repair, mend, and restore health, one who heals; is the Hebrew word for doctor. The main idea of Rapha is physical healing.

Healing is the character of God and He can never be anything other than who He is. I am the Lord and I change not.

25. COMMUNION

1 Corinthians 11:29-30

29, “For He who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 “For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep (die early).”

If you can be sick and die prematurely for not taking from the Lords’ table properly and you can also be healed through communion by taken it correctly.

26. GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

1 Corinthians 12:9-10

9, “to another faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healings by the same Spirit. 10, to another the working of miracles,”

27. THE NAME OF JESUS

God heals the lame man at the gate of beautiful and is the answer to why.

Acts 3:6

6, Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

Acts 3:16

16, “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

28. FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT

The nature of the Holy Spirit is creation and makes healing happen. Where the Holy Spirit is moving, creation happens.

Genesis 1:2

2, “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”

Romans 8:11

11, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

The presence of the Holy Spirit anointed Jesus with power to do healing, and we are now temples of the Holy Spirit. The healing anointing doesn't come from above but from within. You are carrying it now.

29. I AM SAVED

Do we know that we are saved? What is salvation?

Luke 7:50

50, Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Saved in this passage is the Greek word

Sozo: To save, heal, cure, preserve, keep safe and sound, rescue from danger or destruction, deliver. Sozo saves from physical death through healing and spiritual death by forgiveness of sin and its effect. Simply put on a new heart and a new life.

We find this Greek word in this passage for healing.

Mark 6:56

56, “Whenever He entered into villages, cities, or in the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him, were made well.”

And this passage for salvation:

Romans 10:9

9, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

30. Kingdom

The 30th reason for why I can expect to be healed and see miracles, is the kingdom.

Matthew 6:10

10, your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Jesus made the statement here that is not on earth now as it is in heaven but I want it to be on the earth now as it is in heaven. How is it in heaven now? There is no sorrow, pain, sickness, poverty, disease, death, sin and more. God’s kingdom brings the realities of heaven on earth.

Matthew 12:28

28, “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.”
