quote:
Christmas is a time that you seek to give good gifts to those who you love. This is right and fitting, for I have given you the most precious gift that I could possibly offer you -- I have given you My dear son! Christmas is a time when you desire to have a perfect family meal, with many special treats and delicacies. You desire to set a perfect table that your entire family will enjoy. This is also good and proper, for I have set an end-time feast table that I am inviting My family to. Has not My Son said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink!" Has He not also said of the bread and wine, "take and eat," "take and drink," "this is My body" and "this is My blood poured out for many". Has He not said, "I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God." I tell you that the feast that I have set before you is My Son, and that as you eat of Him and as you believe in Him, then you inherit eternal life and you will enter into My family and you will be invited to My end-time feast. Yes, there are reasons and meanings behind many of the traditions of the Christmas season. But a trap of distraction has been set for you by the enemy of your souls. He tries to put obligations on top of the traditions, that the joy of the season is drained from some of you because you cannot afford or you cannot find the right presents. Then your focus is transferred from what I have done for you to what you must do for others, under the burden of false obligation. Some become so burdened by cooking and cleaning and preparing to receive the family that they become exhausted and unable to think of what Christmas is really about -- the expansion of My family through the gift of My Son. Some become so distracted by the business of the season that they do not have time for Me -- and yet the whole purpose of Christmas is that man might freely be able to come to Me, no longer separated by their sin and their guilt. Children of Mine, I love you dearly. I have paid a great price and I have given a costly gift that you might enter into My family and become My own. Now, this Christmas day, I ask that you set aside the traditions and the business for a little while and come to Me. Remember what this day is about. Then look to Me -- look not at what I will do for you (though I will do many good things for you and give you many good gifts). Rather look to what gifts you might present to Me this Christmas day. Let Me tell you what would please Me, what gifts you might bring to Me this Christmas day. Bring Me your worship. Set in your heart a deep commitment to obey Me in all things, to truly make Me your Lord. Bring me your willing obedience, a commitment to my Lordship, to obey Me because you love Me. Spend time with Me, for your time is one of your most precious possessions and you spend it on the things that are dearest to you. Show Me that I am dear to you, give Me your time and give Me your obedience and give Me your worship. This is what I want from you, My child, for Christmas -- not just for this one day, but all throughout the year. This is what I desire of you. Will you give it to Me? Burden with great instruction, and illumination upon your intercessors, for the birthing that must come Inflict us! Teach us in these days Godly contentment and humility. Give your ministers hearts of unity and cohesiveness to your divine plan. Stir our hearts to mercy and compassion, upon all mankind. Forge through our families, bringing great peace in the midsts of chaos. Teach your men to be God-men! faithful in all things. I pray for a greater relationship with You for all those Who seek it. I pray that the Wind of the Holy Spirit will blow away all that does not give God glory in our lives. I stand in sack cloth of heart pray that forgiveness from sin of prayerlessness that so prevails us. LORD it is only at the point of communication can we receive strength and grace to follow the LORD and walk with Him even in the Hottest fires rages in life's situations that prevail on us each day. Lord, I repent for all the times I held back my passion or compromised my convictions to calm the discomforts of people. You are my Audience of One, You are my First Love, and the only One I care to please. I release my passion for You right now as if it is an arrow in flight. Lift us into the heavenlies with You that we may pursue our divine destiny in Your kingdom. Dear LORD we want to make more room for you this coming year that You will no longer be a guest in our homes but a host..that You will no longer be an outsider looking into our hearts but that You will be a resident with a permanent address on our hearts.

"Can the rush grow up without mire?" --Job 8:11 The rush is spongy and hollow, and even so is a hypocrite; there is no substance or stability in him. It is shaken to and fro in every wind just as formalists yield to every influence; for this reason the rush is not broken by the tempest, neither are hypocrites troubled with persecution. I would not willingly be a deceiver or be deceived; perhaps the text for this day may help me to try myself whether I be a hypocrite or no. The rush by nature lives in water, and owes its very existence to the mire and moisture wherein it has taken root; let the mire become dry, and the rush withers very quickly. Its greenness is absolutely dependent upon circumstances, a present abundance of water makes it flourish, and a drought destroys it at once. Is this my case? Do I only serve God when I am in good company, or when religion is profitable and respectable? Do I love the Lord only when temporal comforts are received from His hands? If so I am a base hypocrite, and like the withering rush, I shall perish when death deprives me of outward joys. But can I honestly assert that when bodily comforts have been few, and my surroundings have been rather adverse to grace than at all helpful to it, I have still held fast my integrity? then have I hope that there is genuine vital godliness in me. The rush cannot grow without mire, but plants of the Lord's right hand planting can and do flourish even in the year of drought. A godly man often grows best when his worldly circumstances decay. He who follows Christ for his bag is a Judas; they who follow for loaves and fishes are children of the devil; but they who attend Him out of love to Himself are His own beloved ones. Lord, let me find my life in Thee, and not in the mire of this world's favour or gain.

Lord Jesus Christ help me to see the mote in my own eye. Not that I may judge others but that I might see thee. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen. Matthew 6:22-23 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single,(clear) thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Yes Lord make me an example of Your Word and light to men. May they see You daily in me. I pray that my faith in You in the coming year not waiver as the dictates of life's storms and situations but that it would be stronger even as the tide of problems grow. May my heart yeild to Your Will daily even as I conduct myself everywhere I go so that I might point men to Your throne of Grace and may their heart find pasture in Your Word even as I am read by men as I daily dwell in Your Word which is My Light and Salvation. This is my desire Lord in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. AMen.
