One thing about worship I just learned is as you progress from the Outer Court, to the Holy place, and then all the way to the Holy of Holies your song and your prayer changes. The song in the Outer Court may be all about you, the song in the Holy Place maybe about you and God, and the song in the Holy of Holies is all about God and all about intimacy. Rock and roll kind of music also is an Outer Court type music that is very noisy and sometimes very impure type music. You see the Outer Court is a very noisy place. And the Holy Place not that the music is any less noisy but I should say that the Holy Place can be even much quieter and even more pure and intimate than even the Outer Court level. The Outer Court level the Presence or the anointing will come on you and then lift, come on you and then lift, and each time this happens God's Presence and anointing is even stronger. Also as God's Presence continues to intensify you the worshiper and intercesser are made even purer and the more pure you are the more you are able to see and experence God. Jesus said the pure in heart will see God. As saints of God come even closer to the veil of the Holy of Holies their worship is even purer and when they finally live under the shadow of the Almighty, this in fact is the absence of sin completely. Sin is so far removed from the believer that he/she is not even aware of it. Once the believer comes all the way into the Holy of Holies and stays there what begins to happen is God's very image and very likeness is retored or imparted and made a mark on their spirit. The believer becomes one with God Almighty when they enter the Holy of Holies. Sometimes Your body becomes numb you also experience the greatest extacy which is better than any drug or anything else you could experience. If anyone one of you has any questions you can e-mail me at garyldeatonjr2004@yahoo.com or we could just discuss it more on the God Chasers message board.
With warm love to everyone

Yes! I've had this happen too! Sometimes I'm almost paralyzed, but in the most delightful way. I can still hear things nearby, but cannot open my eyes and can barely move. His presence is so heavy at that point, you could just die and be happy.

Another thought here: we do have to be careful we are not mistaking emotion or even physical sensations for spirituality. The ancients called them "sensible consolations". The thing is to keep seeking the Blesser and not just the blessing; the face of God - and His heart - and not His hands. Sometimes, He lets me smell the perfume of His presence. To me, it's usually like jasmine; once it was roses, and another time it was like fruit and candy. A friend of mine always experiences it as incense. Last April, we were having a prayer meeting outdoors (near a noisy freeway, mind you) before our live crucifixion production at Easter. We hadn't prayed long, when the unmistakable scent of jasmine filled the air; most of us were able to detect it rather strongly. What a blessing!

I don't think I've been that far into the Holy of holies but once, and I'm not even sure then... I know I have passed the oouter court and been into the holy place many times.... I'd love to do it more.. I have a hunger for God, a hunger to worship right now that I can't express, seeing how I am at college right now... but I would if I could... :D
