OH, BROTHER!!! That's pretty much my take on this article. Yes, it's accurate but it misses a lot of the point of the movie. Mel G. never claimed it was word-for-word from Scripture; he openly admitted to using a lot of creative license w/ it, and this it was HIS take on the story. He used images and scenes not from the Bible, to illustrate the points he was trying to make. Remember, he HAD to use a lot of visuals because of the language issue. I've seen it twice and the imagery doesn't bother me at all. And I am very picky what kind of images I'm willing to put before my eyes. And I also do not ascribe to the "end justifies the means" viewpoint either. But if this movie has caused people to think about what He did for them, (who would never darken the door of a church); and causes Christians everywhere to get a deeper revelation of what we have in Him, that's what interests me. There were so many miracles associated w/ the making of this movie, and there have been such awesome results, that's all the proof we need that God Himself must be pleased enough to have placed His hand of favor on it. Let's not get so adamant about splitting hairs that we take all the wonder out of life!

I never thought of it like that really. It's kinda a scarey thought, but it does kinda wake you up and tell you not everything is the work of God

The Passion opened my eyes to a couple of things, the most important of which was how much Jesus loves me also I never really knew what He whent thru for me how much He suffered. He suffered more than that even His face was so mangled that you could'nt reconize Him. Princess
