It says in the book of Romans 1 & 2 (KJV):
1) I beseech you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
In the Amplified version it says:
1) And so, dear brothers, I PLEAD with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy- the kind he can accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask?
2) DON'T COPY THE BEHAVIOR AND CUSTOMS OF THIS WORLD, BUT BE A NEW AND DIFFERENT PERSON WITH A FRESH NEWNESS IN ALL YOU DO AND THINK. THEN YOU WILL LEARN FROM YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE HOW HIS WAYS WILL REALLY SATISFY YOU.
I BELIEVE THAT TOO MUCH IN OUR SOCIETY WE TRY TO FIT IN WITH THE WORLD. EVEN ON A CHRISTIAN STAND POINT. THAT WE ARE SO BUSY TRYING TO MIMIC THEM THAT WE FORGET ABOUT THE TRUE MESSAGE OF CHRIST.
AS CHRISTIANS WE SHOULD NOT LOOK, ACT, SPEAK, DRESS, OR THINK LIKE THE WORLD.
WE SHOULD BE A NEW CREATION.
SOMETHING TOTALLY OPPOSITE.
EVEN WITH THE THINGS THAT SEEM SO SMALL LIKE OUR MUSIC, OUR T.V. SHOWS, EVERYTHING.
WE AREN'T SUPPOSSED TO MAKE WHAT WE DO AS CHRISTIANS MIMIC THEIR LIFESTYLE WE ARE SUPPOSSED TO BE CHANGING THEIR WAY OF LIFE TO GOD'S WAYS.
AND I HATE SEEING CHRISTIANS POTRAYING THE WORLDS IMAGES AND SAYING THAT IT IS GOD.
GOD SAID THAT HE WILL DO A NEW THING.
IF A "CHRISTIAN" MUSIC VIDEO IS ON T.V. AND I CAN'T TELL THAT ITS CHRISTIAN, HOW MUCH OF AN IMPACT IS IT HAVING ON MY SPIRIT OR ANYONE IN THE WORLDS. IS IT REALLY SHOWING THEM GOD OR SOMETHING THAT IS JUST LIKE WHAT THEY ARE LISTENING TO IN THE WORLD AND THEY LIKE WHAT THEY SEE ONLY BECAUSE IT REMINDS THEM OF THE WORLD.
WE NEED TO STOP COMPETEING WITH THE ENEMY AND BECOME OVERCOMERS.
WIN THE LOST WITH THE POWER AND THE ANOINTING OF JESUS CHRIST.
WITH THE LOVE OF CHRIST.
NOT TRYING TO MIMIC THE WORLDS SENSE OF STYLE.
WE NEED TO STAND OUT.
GOD CALLED US TO BE DIFFERENT IN EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES.
HOW CAN THE WORLD SEE JESUS WHEN WE LISTEN TO THE SAME MUSIC THEY DO, WE READ THE SAME MAGAZINES THEY DO, LOOK THE WAY THEY DO?
HOW DO THE KIDS AT YOUR SCHOOL SEE JESUS IN YOU?
THE PEOPLE AT YOUR JOB?
ANYWHERE?
GOD HAS CALLED US TO BE DIFFERENT!!!
LET THE WORLD FOLLOW OUR TRENDS INSTEAD OF US CONFORMING TO THEIRS AND PERVERTING CHRISTIANITY WITH THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD.
LET GOD BE GLORIFIED IN ALL THINGS.
I PRAY THIS MINISTERED TO SOMEONE.
JESUS YOU ARE HOLY AND WORTHY OF ALL THE GLORY AND HONOR. I WILL BLESS YOUR NAME AT ALL TIMES AND YOUR PRAISES SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MY MOUTH.
AMEN.

So true.Thanks it was a wake up call really you know everyone just trys to blen in now doesn't want to stand out.I think not alot of people realize how true your statement(and God's) is.Thanks for the help.

I like that! Yeah, you really reminded me that Christian's aren't supposed to follow the world. Christians shouldnt compromise God's ways just so they wont be misfits in this world..

wow , that was one passion-filled message from you to the world! i completely agree with you on the fact that we are called to be different from the world in every aspect of our lives. But one thing i believe we all need to know is that,drawing closer to God and hence drawing away from the world doesnt make our lives any less interesting.Nor does it mean that we are missing out on all the 'cool' stuff.On the contrary,we are embarking on nothing short of an adventure,a holy adventure! We are called to lead an exciting and spirit-filled life which is BEYOND all the things that the world could ever offer!
Love,peace,joy,strength..and all these things IN CHRIST,the Son of the Living GOD..!! Could we ask for a better deal!
I'm sure most of you here realize this.But as for me , it took me a little while to understand this and allow myself to be led away from the world.In fact,I still have a long way to go. All
the same,I hope this message reaches people who , maybe, are at the same place I was at a few months ago.Let the Spirit be your guiding light..it's a huge privilege that we can grow closer to Christ and God, simply by calling on His name!

remember as well... loved ones..this goes for the christian world...Just because something looks, smells, and tastes like it is christian doesn't mean it is...Many will be knocking at the door and will say .." Lord we did this.. and that.. in your name.." Get away from me .. I never knew you.. is all they will hear... please loved ones... Hear me! You must be careful lest you be decieved....
There is only one way!!!! that is through the blood of Jesus.. What I mean is that... the only way you will get to heaven is by believeing Jesus is who He said he is... by believing that He was the fulfillment of the mosaic law.. he paid the price of ALL SIN FOREVER!!!. He died for us all.. He went to hell and kicked butt for us all... He ascended unto heaven for us all. that if we confess our sins unto him.. ask forgiveness and ask him to live in us... we are saved that is it.. everysin we have committed... and every sin we will ever committ is all under the blood. That is all there are no other steps to salvation that is it!!! Some preach you need to be baptized to be saved.. that is hogwash.. it is merely symbolism of our sins being wash away it has nothing to do with our salvation... And you can't lose your salavtion either... If you could... that would nullify the cross! JESUS WAS & IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE LAMB CRUCIFIED FOR ALL OF THE SINS OF THIS WORLD!!!not some of them .. ALL of them. So the next time satan comes knocking at your door.. if you are saved.. you just raise your hand up and say" Its under the blood" yes there is repentance... but repentance and forgiveness is a whole nother ball game... if you are saved you are already forgiven.. repentance is a 180 turn around form that sin... to completely turn away from... is what repentance means... any one that teaching contrary to the truth that is Jesus Christ no matter how they look walk or talk... is walking in the spirit of anit-christ... So be careful beloveds... Jesus is the only way!.. That is just how much He loves you all. So if you goof ...turn away from that thing... dust yourself off and get up and keep walking for there is NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!

Jesus is the only way to recieve salvation.,and there is no other name given to us by which we might be saved.When He was telling the people to depart from Him, wasn't He talking to those who didnt obey Him,He said if you love me then you'll keep my commandments.,also would this possibly be what He will say to the Ladoceans(the church who lost their 1st love),which brings us Romans 12;1&2 the reason that they lost their 1st love could very possibly be that they let the world come they got so busy they didn't have time for Him anymore,&,or the pleasures of the flesh crowed out the pleasure of His presence
