Real Faith
I contend real faith is different. Real faith is based on solid knowledge. Real faith believes that which is true. Real faith trusts in One who can never lie. Real faith is based in the facts of when God invaded history in the person of Jesus Christ.
Christians do not need to surrender the intellectual high ground to those
who only have faith in what they can see. But, unfortunately, this is exactly
what many of us have done.
How about you? Can you give a reason for your faith or do you simply believe in spite of what your mind tells you? Does Christianity satisfy your mind or only your heart? Are both your mind and your heart at peace with the Christian faith?
In contending for the faith on campus for nearly three decades, I can't tell you
how many days I've finished preaching and thought, "If only the `believers'believed what I'm trying to get the unbelievers to believe!" It is not uncommon at all for "believers" in Christ to exhibit incredible ignorance of our faith
and to oppose any attempt to present Christianity as being reasonable.
Standing Firm in Your Faith
This need led me to develop a series of messages designed to equip Christians in addressing the key objections to the Christian faith. It was
exciting to develop this material and I have become even more enthusiastic as I receive
feedback each time I present the seminar. I'd like you to have these tapes and the accompanying study guide so that you can equip yourself in defending our faith.
And the Standing Firm tapes present a defense of our faith from someone who is out on the frontlines defending the faith day in and day out. Too often books on apologetics are written by good folks who spend most of their time
sitting in an ivory tower rather than contending face to face with those who reject the Truth. My front-line experience has forced me to learn to answer the objections to the faith in a clear, quick and concise manner. I think you'll
find this approach easier to follow and much easier to remember.

I'd like to urge you to study the Standing Firm in Your Faith tapes this summer.
Don't let your mind grow stale and, more importantly, don't let your faith grow weak! Whether you study by yourself or as part of a small group, get these tapes and the study guide and allocate time to equip yourself to be better at answering the common objections to the Christian faith.
The tapes and study guide will not answer every question out there, but they will address the common questions I hear every day concerning God, the Bible, Jesus Christ, moral absolutes, creation-evolution, etc.
