Ok, I have to first explain what I mean by that. First I think we need more Christian men and women who are willing to cater to the needs of Christians. That being said, here's what I have in mind- a night club seting, only dry, no alcohol. A place were Christians can gather outside of the church, but with a clean atmosphere. The kind of night club that you wouldn't have to worry about going to, or your kids going to. During the day, food served, with christian music playing, kind of like a cafe. In the evening live bands. On the weekends if possible, bring in well known artists for concerts. O.k. this is all iffy. I need to know: (1) If such a place existed would you go to it? (Please give the reasons why and why not.) (2) How often would you be willing to go to such a club? (3) Would live music and concerts effect that decission? (4) What kinds of foods would you expect to be served at such a place? (I know Hamburger and fries is a must.) But any other suggestions? (5) Do you have any suggestions (anything that would cause you to go and to return after the first time to the place?) This is a research question, I need to know if Christians would support such a place before moving forward as it is not a small project. Thank you for your responses. A2J

One of the things that is big in our area is Kareoke. How about adding a little Christian Kareoke to your bill of fare? The only place (other than to myself) that I can sing some of my favorite songs is at church. Most of us "Closet Christian Wannabee's" have our own tapes CD's etc for accompanyment. You could slowly build up your own library of sound tracks as you go, to augment what people would bring for their songs, and before long the Cafe would have it's own selections. The secular kareoke places seem to gather their own following over and above the normal business that these establishments have and some people come just to see the singers. Plus it is a lot of fun for the participants. full pedal

A2J, we already have such gathering places here in our city. It's a very popular idea that got started about 5-8yrs. ago. Since most Friday night church services end around 9-9:30pm, some people decided that the church folk needed places to socialize and therefore we have places that we can go for late night activities. Some have a hard time with the word "club" so of course some of the local Holier Than Thou's have issues because of the "christian club" idea. We have places for late night aerobics/jazzercise, dancing to praise songs, etc... One club has family time that goes to 12am and they have the time for the adults that goes to 2am. They offer food, sodas and NON-ALCOHOL daiquaries as well. There's another place that has paintball, arcades, dancing, skateboarding/biking areas for the young adults to enjoy all through the night. They have live-bands that consist of young and upcoming Christian talent. Last year, a church purchased a movie theater and now we have a place to go and enjoy Christian movies. The church renovated the place so it serves as a church and a movie theater in one- I'm thankful that we have many choices other than the Monday night Christian skate nights. Loved them but after a while it get's boring. Do any of you guys remember the skate nights?????
