Hi Godchasers,
I personally thought this book was awesome; both in truth and revelation. I didn't see any other posts regarding this book. If you haven't read it as of yet; I highly recommend that you do so. Finding Favor with the King shares one revelation after another that will teach the reader incredible insight to: Having favor in your life, without falling into satans trap of focussing on favor (gifts).
When we get to know "Him" and not just "things" about Him. That causes God to look at us, and wherever His face is gazing upon; There is favor!
When we fall into the trap of seeking favor, God looks away; because He is only looking at intimate worshippers..

Scott,
I read this book some time back, and also learned so much about the favor we have w/ our Daddy God. It also taught me more about ancient Middle Eastern culture, which helps me understand the Old Testament better.
I was also struck by Esther's self-control and patience when she could have done otherwise. How we modern believers are lacking such! It grieves me to no end to see us sensing His presence in our "services", and we immediately abandon His face for His hands. "Quick! Start the healing line over here! Don't leave w/ a need unmet!" And there He stands waiting by the back door just waiting for us to acknowledge Him just for who He is and not for what we want Him to do. And we leave w/ our need met (by His tolerant mercy) and Him, yet unworshiped.

Hello!
I just finished reading Finding Favor with the King, and I, too, think it is an amazing and wonderful book!! This is the first (of many to be read) book that I've read by Mr. Tenney and it is great!
I have a "Passion," for Jesus Christ like nothing else I've ever had in my life and this book taught me so much more......I kept a notebook beside me, even though I own the book, but I'd write down all kinds of things.....which essentially means I practically wrote down the entire book.....1 pen and 2 notebooks full of wonderful things.......Until recently, I didn't understand exactly what I felt for my Lord, except that, of course, I knew I love Him; but, I've discovered that what I feel is a very "passionate" love for Him, and I want HIM, much more than the things He can give me.......it doesn't matter to me that the streets of Heaven are made of gold......I want the King!!
Love in Jesus Christ..."one day every tongue will confess you are God; one day every knee will bow,"

Amen to all that! I too have discovered a PASSION for Him, after 33 yrs of knowing Jesus as my Savior. I've been 'hot for God' for just over a year, and I'm just getting warmed up! I have never been able to maintain such an intensity in my walk w/ Him before, beyond just a few days or weeks at a time. But when you finally fall in love w/ Him, it's all over!!
I'm constantly praying that all the believers around me will also fall in love w/ Him; they just do not know what they're missing.
Isn't it a blessing for books like this, and others, that just keep pouring fuel on our fire for Jesus?!

Loved your testimony!!
I love Mr. Tenney's book, Finding Favor with the King......my Husband is now reading it.......!
I hope Mr. Tenney won't mind me recommeding another book that I'm getting started on.....of course, I plan to read ALL of his, too!
I haven't started this new study series yet, but a friend recommended this to me, and it's called Falling in Love with Jesus; I ordered it from our local Christian Bible Bookstore.......there's also a workbook with it......on the front it also says..."Abandoning Yourself to the Greatest Romance of Your Life,".....and, it's by Dee Brestin and Kathy Troccoli.......thought I'd share that with a fellow Christian friend "in love with Jesus!"
