Yes!! Like Eric I found the book by 'chance'. I was driving from LA to Sam Simeon and needed a rest stop. Called in at a Longs Drug Store and felt moved to buy the book. Some bits make me feel very uncomfortable.I am now starting on my third time of re reading it. It is explosive!!!

i have the book in front of me now... started a while ago and atimes, i'll have to stop cuz it made me cry... it awakened in me some hunger i almost forgot was there... i stopped because at a point i didn't really understand some things completely so i just left it for later...But the most profound lesson i learnt was that HE really does want to be found!

I wish I had more time to get into this message board, but my only net access is at my work..
I've read The God Chasers, God's Favorite House, and The God Catchers. The God Chasers blew me away, as I sensed the anointing from page 1! Actually, I became a God Chaser a couple of years before the book even came out, when the Lord began calling me to chase Him!
Then my hunger for Him and the pursuit of a "habitation" of Him began to consume me as I read God's Favorite House..I was seeing myself in agreement with every page!
I couldn't wait to get the book I had so looked forward to reading.."God Catchers". This book was different for me, in that I took it in bits and pieces, reading about an hour each night for 2 weeks..(slow reader, with God speaking much!)
I now call myself a God Catcher because I've learned that being anything else is "frustrating" to me. Even so, I am at that point, it seems, continually, of being frustrated with not having His face in front of me at all times! I want that!
In Tommy's book, The God Catchers, I see that this is a "good place" to be! Even after 18 years of being a born-again believer!

Hey, everyone..I'm new here and really enjoying this message board! I just finished The God Catchers; actually I wept my way through almost the ENTIRE book. And I'm NOT an easy cryer!
A friend and I just started a drama ministry at our church; she heads up the plays/skits, and I'm in charge of the youth mime team. I've been seeking God since Easter, chasing Him w/ all I've got since about May. I'm interceding our entire drama dept become God chasers too!
This process of chasing Him just includes all sorts of side-blessings, does it not? We keep having miracles and awesome acts of God in the drama ministry.

Hello Everyone! I've never used anything like this before.
During a discussion with our Associate Pastor and his wife who came to our church in February 2003, (I was explaining the intense hunger and yearning I've had in my spirit since 1976. It has been growing steadily in intensity over the past four years or so. They loaned me the book, The God Chasers by Tommy Tenney which while I read it I became totally absorbed in it due to the annointing from page 1 on! I couldn't put the book down! It described how I've been feeling right from page 1!!
THEN I read The God Catchers and have continued reading as many as I can get my hands on since then. We currently have a prayer meeting in our church every Monday evening. There are currently between 16-25 people that go now. The total size of our congregation is aproximately 100 and less in a church that seats 550 (pentecostal) PAOC. I have a burning desire to see the people in this church and surrounding areas "explode" to have the presence of God flow beneath the sanctuary doors into the communities.
Sadly, the pastor and his wife who richly blessed me by loaning me these books to read are finished October 10th and we are having a dinner tommorrow after the morning service. (I've done my share of crying because it has been 30 years since I've had a friend)
They and my husband and myself have become close friends in this very short period of time. I've never spiritually bonded with anyone before but now I know what it means. You have the same passion for God.......you know what the other is thinking.......it's a friendship made possible by God himself. We are richly blessed to have gained a friendship and to have bonded with others who have the same intense hunger.
If anyone has not read any of these books, they are a definite MUST. If you are experiencing a deep spiritual hunger for God and can't quite explain what you are feeling except that you want more of God....start with The God Chasers. You will not be able to put it down.
Tommy Tenney is coming to Oshawa Ontario Canada in November this year and my husband and I are going on the Saturday for sure! I'm trying to talk him into the Sunday as well! I also want to invite another couple to go.
I am currently reading the one regarding servanthood. Truly Humbling.
I now use M&M Blend (I was a Martha who turned into a Mary but I am now becoming a Mary/Martha blend BUT with a Tommy Tenney hunger for God
A Definite God Chaser/God Catcher!

YES I HAVE BOTH OF THE BOOKS I AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH OF THE GOD CATCHER ONE I READ BUT WHEN I WAS IN CHOIR I HAD TO READ IT. IT WAS GOOD

Yesterday I was at the library where I live and I thought about looking up the God Chasers books.
When I was looking at the site, there was an area for an excert from the book. I began to read that excert and my heart moved in a way I had never felt before. It was a pure hunger that was for God. I have never felt that way in my entire life. That is one awsome feeling that I can't get rid of now even if I wanted to.
Mr. Tenny has got an extrodinary gift from god. The book is amazing and I can not wait to read more.
