I am hurting so bad. So much is happening in my life I can't really share all of it, but I would like to share one situation with you. All my life the people I have really cared about seem to be snatched from me. Well in these past couple of months God sent a guy into my life who has been so great to me. So I made a step in a direction I thought would help us be together. Now it may turn out that that one step may cause more harm than good. I can't understand why God doesn't want me to be happy. It is like He teases me with someone so great and says see this is what you can't have. This guy is what I have prayed for my husband to be like. Sure he has his faults, but over all he is great. I really need some help in this, but I can't seem to talk to God. I don't trust God so I don't feel like I can give him this situation because I am so scared he is going to take this guy away from me. Please pray for me.

Countrygal - First of all, your impression that God doesn't want you happy is as far from the truth that you can get. That is a lie from the pit of hell from the father of ALL lies, and don't you believe not one iota of it. God desire's for us to be happy and healthy ( "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10). God knows what He's doing. We tend to get into a mode of wanting to do everything our way - when and how we want. But the Word says that God's thoughts and ways are not our thoughts and ways (Is. 55:8). The only way to love God is to trust Him. We need to have faith and KNOW that even when things aren't going the way we want, God has a perfect and divine will planned. What you think you want may not be the right decision. Example: would you want to be rebellious and try and have a relationship with someone who is not God's choice for you and risk losing all the best that He has in store? We only see things with our natural eyes - if we could see into the spiritual realm we would be awefully surprised at what is taking place all around us 24/7. We are in a battle that we cannot see - the angels of the Lord are encamping around us fighting the war for our minds - our souls -against satan and his demons. I pray that you will REALLY think about what I say. Get into the Word. Whenever satan tries to whisper in your ear, "See, God doesn't care about you. The only one you can trust is yourself", that's when you need to come against his lies with, "God says that I am worth more than the lilies of the fields and the birds of the air; God says that while I was still a sinner He sent His Son to die for me so that I can have everlasting life; God SAYS that NOTHING and NO ONE can ever seperate me from His love. I will trust in the Lord with ALL my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In ALL my ways I WILL acknowledge Him, and He WILL direct my path." God has things in store for you that are so much better than you could ever imagine. Trust Him - He created you, and knows you better than you know yourself. I pray that the Word of God will plant itself within your heart.
Praising Him, Lori

countrygal, I will pray for you. Sometimes it's hard to separate our natural feelings and inclinations from our spiritual ones. The only thing I can say right now is that when God is the most important thing in your life, all of these other relationships will fall into place. He can heal all wounds. When we place everything, I mean everything on the altar, He gives back to us what He wants us to have and we will be content.
Humble in Him, Bobbie

...I know what you mean by not trusting God. Unfortunately, the same person you say you cannot trust is the only one who can truly help ya. My friend who lost her father in the world trade centre (9/11 case) still has a bit of a trust issue with God. I also go through the same thing. But, please TRY!! If you say and believe that HE has your best interest at heart, then it's a lot easier to feel at ease with the situation. Father, I pray for clarity of mind in her situation. I pray that even though she does not see it, you have plans for her and desire much more for her. Jeremiah 29:11. says it. Trust will not happen over night. You trust people once you have gotten to know them more. So, it is same with God. I don't think God teases you. That might be the work of the enemy to deviate you from finding God's plans and purposes for you. And, of course, perhaps, your friendship failing, you could consider a godly intervention. Maybe it's God's way of telling you that it is not the best way to go now. (maybe later). Good things come to those who wait (on the lord especially). AS long as you are still hanging on to your own 'short sighted' goals and desires, you will never be able to find the will of God or the clarity of mind on your case. With that my dear, I say "Let go and let God". With love, Mystic.

Hang in there! God knows what He's doing. Sometimes we "think" someone is perfect for us but the Lord can see the whole picture. He knows your heart and the heart of this guy. He might have someone He plans to bring into your future and doesn't want you getting attached or entangled with anyone else. You CAN trust the Lord. He is always looking out for our good. He is loving and kind. I am waiting and trusting the Lord for the very same thing. I trust Him and you can too. 2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may stongly support those whose heart is completely His. Trust God. He has big plans for His children. Wait patiently for Him. I will too.

I agree with Bobbie as that is THE TRUTH. remeber Abraham, that was his story! I have had personal tesimonies as well. Dear LORD give Your daughter clarity of mind, renew her mind in Your Truth and sift out the lies and deceptions of the enemy in every area of her life. Hevaenly Father, may Your exhume all falsehood and replace it with Your Word entrenched deep within her heart this day in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
