If not God's divine favour, nothing qualifies Esther for the vacant position that exists in the palace of King Ahasuerus.
She was poor
She was an exile
She was an orphan
Despite all these, she was made Queen in place of Vashti.
Esther 2 Verse 17"And the King loved Esther above all women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti"
One thing that interests me in Esther's situation was the fact that she followed right through on God's divine direction. She obeyed Mordecai in all things. Disobedience to the voice of the Lord will lead us out of God's will.
When she was to be brought before the king, she depended totally on God and not on her beauty or beauty treatments. In other words, she wasn't chosen as the Queen because she was beautiful or because she had a spotless skin and a long hair. God found her, chose her and caused His favour to rest upon her. The same favour took David to the throne.
Psalm 89 Verse 20 "I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him...."
When God tells you He'll do something in your life, you had better believe it because He will not change His mind. Don't allow storms and circumstances of life to cause doubts and fears to arise in your heart.
I discovered that God's timing is totally different from our own timing. In heaven, there's no timing piece - no wall clock or wristwatch, but right here on earth, we are so time conscious. Esther waited for her own time to be crowned as Queen.
Ecclesiastes 3 Verse 1 "To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven"
I encourage you to hold on to God's word concerning all that He has promised you because He will not alter whatever has gone forth out of His mouth. He is a sovereign God.
Right now on God's view there is a vacancy that exists that has your name written on it as the chosen candidate. Your time of insignificance is over. God will do for you what He has never done for any man before.

"Faith is just believing what God says He will do." As one comes to the Lord in prayer, whether it is for salvation or any other need, He wants us to have faith as a little child.
Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to have the faith of a little child and to enjoy the long-lasting results that come when we rest in Your love. Amen.
