I have been reading Godchasers,God's Favorite House and all the rest of them for the past year.It has ignited such a passion to seek the things of God.The scripture that God put in my heart is Psalm 27:8 and it has become my passion. The other day I was visiting another church with friends and we sat in at the back of the church. When the worship service started all I could see were people talking and laughing and having no desire to worship God.It caused a grieflike sob to well inside of me which really surprised me.The following sunday I was in my own church and we do an hour of prayer and worship before the service and I heard someone interupt the time of worship to discuss where signup sheets for a class should be placed and that brought that same grieflike sob inside of me.Has anyone else had that happen to them?

Hello Beloved, Yes! Yes! Yes! Welcome to righteous igdination. Godly anger. You are growing in maturity and intimacy with the Triune God. When one does this the spirit man gets stronger and you begin to feel the tug to live a life of integrity and excellence. But be careful because our flesh is deceitfully wicked and this new level of spirituality can be very overwhelming. Our righteous anger can very easily turn into offense, bitterness, judgement.. and the list goes on.So we must always test our own spirit so to speak beloved. WE must always keep ourselves in check. My book is filled with passionate truth... gloves are definitely off but I had to do many revision prayerfully before it was released to the publisher for printing.. why? because in the light of truth I saw where my flesh jumped the fence... it is a balancing act.. this walk of ours...another perfect example. This past Sunday I was sitting in a class for new members at a church... I am an evangelist, I've been to bible school... I also have many many years of experience under my belt. But God is calling my family and I to this particular church so I am following protocol.. WHen A reference was made about the minister of education writing a thesus on tongues and it is of his opinion that they no longer exist. Now.. I could have stould up in my righteous anger... I could have debated...but what good would that do.. He is trying to understand the things of God intellectually.... God is a heart, truth not a head learned. Many people miss the boat because they try to intellectualize God rather than to let the Spirit which is the divine counselor, the only one that leadeth all into truth,He speak to our hearts... our spirits..So wisdom told me to be quiet. I have freedom he hasn't grasped yet. For me to exploit my freedom would be to cause someone to sin... So while you have this new found freedom... it isn't your place to drag others to this place... unless the Spirit of God reveals this truth to them they will remain blind. So walk on in your new found freedom but do not exploit it. Continue your journey of truth, with joy and enthusiasm. But remain humble, lest pride come and cause you to fall beloved. " Lord I thankyou for what you are doing in this persons life. I pray that you would cloak them in the garment of love, praise, gentleness, humility, salvation, and righteousness... I pray that you will not let thier feet slip slide, stumble, fall, or be moved , in any direction except towards you.I bless them Lord, now illuminate your perfect will for thier lives, let not them be decieved I pray. In Jesus name...Amen!"

Hi Chermae, I think that your experience sounds pretty awesome really. God wanted you to see something, and you did! It made your heart ache because God wasn't recieving what He should have been from his people. Not everyone who sits in a church has a heart for God. Some are just putting in "pew" time. Sometimes when things get real lax, it becomes the norm, with more and more people joining in in the casualness of it all. A lot of people even look for a church that fills their social needs. All things have their time and place, though. But because of your newly "ignited passion", you were ready to be shown by Him what was lacking there, and it didn't feel right to you, and it grieved your spirit. Because you want MORE of Him then that!! But pray for this church and these people, that God would lead THEM into a hunger and a passion for Him. We all need much more of Him. But I believe that when we ask for more,..hey! We get more!! There are times though, when the seemingly unimportant stuff (like sign up sheets, etc.) really CAN"T wait. It's a bother, but sometimes there's just no good time, you know?
